And the rust has been scraped off, the gears oiled, and after many pulls on the starter crank, the blog is back up and puttering along. We had better not push it too hard in the beginning while the engine is still warming up, so here is a quick reminder about this Saturday’s social event and then a link on grip position for Olympic lifting.
Reminder: This Saturday is the Chili Cook-Off. We are going to be setting up directly after the FREE Saturday class. $5 to enter a chili, $10 to eat. I have lots of beer. Other people are bringing support dishes. There will be a tasting and vote to determine the overall best chili. All monies will be donated to charity of winning chef’s choice. And there will be games like cornhole, bongo balls, keepy uppy, chess, Chinese checkers, double dutch, and the like.
