A lot of you have been asking about the one and only Coach G. I guess we all miss him a little. Well here is an email updating me and all of you on what he is doing and about to do. Be jealous, be very, very jealous.

We arrived in Istanbul, Turkey last night. We are staying with a friend, Sena, that Chris met at his sailing camp this past summer. It is a huge city of 14 million people and also the heart of Turkey’s cultural, social, and economic life.

We will be visiting sites dating from the Ottoman Empire like the Hagia Sophia – maybe you Civ2 players  remember building this? The girl we are staying with does CrossFit at a gym here, and we will be going today. I am not looking forward to it as I have not truly worked out in a month. Tomorrow we are going to a hamman or Turkish bath. Should be interesting. The one we chose is over 600 years old.

This weekend Sena will be taking us out of the city to the countryside to visit her parent’s house and small farm. That should be Sunday.

We will leave Turkey on Monday and take the train through Bulgaria in to Romania. We will be staying a couple days in the Carpathian mountains area of Transylvania. Then we will train to Budapest, Hungary. We plan to take in a classical concert on the shores of the Danube while there. After a day in Budapest we will train south to Slovenia and the Julian Alps. Then it will be a few fast days of travel across northern Italy back to Madrid.

I fly home on October 17th. Look forward to seeing everyone then! Hope all is well at home.

I went to kroger last night and bought dove for men body wash. I feel like Grant’s adventure is much more memorable.
