Friday Night Lights at Ktown – 15.1 Recap

Hey Gang,

What a great start to the 2015 CrossFit Open! Last Friday, lots of you came out to work out, help out, and hang out for this year’s first Open workout and the first ever Friday Night Lights. It was a great time and there were some huge scores and PR’s put up!

We want to thank all of you who came to support and hang out. Without the help of you volunteering your time and effort, we would not be able to do fun events like this. So thank you. We also would like to thank CrossFit Rhema for catering the event with some great paleo food, as well as, Kill Cliff and Progenex for coming to sell swag and offer prizes to the top athletes.

For those of you who did not make it, a brief recap of the events: We had a HUGE turnout. Over 90 athletes completed 15.1 between 5PM and 9PM – the gym was truly packed. Team Jacked and Tan currently sits in 23rd Place in the Central East Region after some great scores. Alex Anderson put up a tremendous performance and currently sits in 7th Place Worldwide and 4th Place in the Central East Region.

Friday Night Lights will be at Rocky Top CrossFit in the Old City this Friday, and the rumor is that they have a brewery and tamale cart coming to cater. We encourage you all to come out to see some more great performances and to have another fun Friday Night. Stooks says that he will be heading to Hannah’s at some point so who knows what might happen.

Coach Taylor
