-First and foremost, let’s give a round of applause to Mr. Douglas Coffin for the fantastic first guest blog post! Tonight, we hosted our first nutrition lecture at CrossFit Ktown. We plan on continuing to host specific lectures that are open to anyone and everyone, members and non-members. In the future, let’s try and get as many people in here as we can to really take advantage of what can be learned in these lectures. This coming Saturday morning at 11:00 AM, Sarah Arms, our rowing specialist, will be giving hands on rowing instruction on technique and form. It’s just another FREE possibility for clients and non-clients to take advantage of! What do you have to lose? Literally nothing! What do you have to gain? 12 seconds off your 500m, and 1:00 off your 2k! No UT football game this Saturday, so no excuses!!!!

Thank you to everyone who came. I hope you were able to take something positive away from the lecture. Here is the fish oil website I mentioned: http://www.omega-research.com/

Awesome stuff, Coach G. We learned a lot… mainly that while we thought we ate pretty good, we ate like crap. :c/ Have no fear, it’s meats & veggies, nuts & seeds, some fruit, little starch, and 0 sugar – or at least something close. Thanks again!

Thanks Grant for sharing all this information with us! I’m a little nervous, but I’m going to give it a shot! I enjoyed my three-block breakfast this morning and am ready to take on the rest of the day! :-)

Erin, that is good news. You’ll be off that blue band in no time eating Paleo…

And Karen! Sounds like you’ve had a good start. I hope all calories were high quality. Make sure you don’t skimp on your fats, either. If you have any questions know that the coaches are here to help.

And Doug, in regards to your guest blog post yesterday. Your title was amazing. I hope everyone got the reference. And thank you for the kind words about my dwarfism.
