For those of you who don’t know Coach G and Coach Tay Tay competed this weekend in their first Olympic lifting competition. They hardcore represented for CrossFit Ktown. Here are a couple posts from the weekend…
Coach G – Just weighed in. Needed to be 69kg or less. Started the week out at 72. Snuck in at 68.8kg. Taylor is presently on the spin bike in the hotel gym trying to sweat his extra kilos off while I now enjoy a hearty omelet.
Sidenote: Taylor did multiple 30 minute sessions on the gym bike and still didn’t make weight. Which makes his 3rd place finish that much more impressive.
Coach G – Taylor totaled 257kg, good enough for 3rd in the 105+ kg class. G totaled 177kg to take 1st in the 69kg class.
Sidenote: Coach G took 1st by 40 kilos!
Congrats to our boys for doing so well. Hopefully next comp we will have a bigger competitor turnout!
