I apologize for the lateness, but Coach CBo, G, and I wanted to officially welcome the newest coaches to our ranks. Most of you have already met Coach E$ (Erin Slocum) and Coach Tay Tay (Taylor Layman), but maybe if you’ve been CrossFitting in a hole you haven’t.

They used to be CrossFit Ktowners just like you until they underwent quite a long, intensive coaching internship. Trust that you are in great hands with either of these coaches; they know their stuff, otherwise, we would never have chosen them.

Because they are both so saddened with their names coming off the PR board (as coaches don’t fill spots) we’ve decided to list some of their best numbers/times.

Erin

Congrats yous guys…Tay, I would have to say that OHS pic is my favorite of you.

Just when you think it couldn’t get any better, you guys take it to a whole new level. Way to go KTown for adding 2.5 awesome coaches to an already stellar coaching team. I guarantee nobody in town can compete!!!

  4. T-Pain September 15, 2010 at 12:56 pm

    2.5?

  5. Dougie Fresh September 15, 2010 at 1:24 pm

I’m gonna bet ben was referencing taylor’s mass (albeit, beautifully scuplted mass, no homo) being 1.5 adult humans.

  6. Brandon September 15, 2010 at 1:57 pm

Or Taylor is so good that he counts for one and a half a normal coach?

  7. Ben September 15, 2010 at 2:57 pm

Dougie gets it. If we were to follow Brandon’s theory, then the gym would have 26 coaches.

  8. Erin September 15, 2010 at 3:00 pm

Muchas gracias for the post and the replies, guys! I know Tay and I are both really excited. We’re pushing for a mandatory three-minute dance warm up every class. Who’s in?

  9. Rise Up September 15, 2010 at 3:54 pm

Erin, I’m all for the 3 min dance warm up. I would also like to see it as a finisher for every class. BOOMSHAKALAKA!!!

  10. Brandon September 15, 2010 at 3:57 pm

Ben: all joking aside – I have traveled to a lot of affiliates and Ktown has, without a doubt, the best collection of coaches, the best overall programming, one of the most open schedules, and (now) one of the best laid out/equipped facilities.

All for about 75 percent of what most other affiliates charge. Seriously.

3 minute dance warm up is brilliant! Just a preview of the amazing things we’ll see from our new coaches, I’m sure. Congratulations Erin and Taylor!
