Warm-up: 3 Minutes Light Rowing, Roll/ Stretch Hamstrings & Quads, (5 Chin-Ups, 5 Diamond Push-Ups x3), 3 Minutes DU practice

MetCon – Filthy Fifty:
50 Reps each
Box Jumps (24″/18″)
Jumping Pull-Ups
Kettlebell Swings (35/12lbs)
Push-Press (45/25lbs)
Back Extensions
Wall Balls (20/12lbs)

So how about that Filthy Fifty! You guys did great!

Here are a few announcements to start out the new week. Our CrossFit Ktown hiking field trip is this weekend, Fri-Sun. Friday morning classes and the noon class will go on as scheduled, but afternoon classes are cancelled. Our free Saturday is also closed. Sorry guys.

For all of you going here is a list of items you may want to bring:

1) Food for 2 breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. Snacks too. (We will have a cookpot)
2) Utensils/ plate or bowl (plastic is fine)
3) Plenty of H2O (There are water sources at both campsites)
4) Sleeping bag, sleeping pad, and backpack
5) Trail shoes or boots (Tennis shoes are fine if that’s all you have)
6) Camp shoes (Something to wear around the campsite…ex: five fingers)
7) Clothing (Preferably synthetic/ moisture wicking)
8) Trashbag
9) Toiletries/ toilet paper
10) Hiking socks
11) Lightweight rain jacket

If you have a tent please let us know. We have several, but we may need more. Also, post to comments anything we may have forgotten on this list.

P.S. Please let us know if you will be heading up Friday late morning with me or Friday evening with Grant.

    Woo! The Fifty was filthy alright. The only other thing I can think of to add to Miss J’s camping list is a flashlight/headlamp. Also maybe camera, sunscreen & bug repellent, although those are things that can be shared. The less you have to carry, the better time you’re going to have. Yay, field trip!

    Gaaah the filthy fifty, that sounds sexy in so many ways…looks like I missed a good’n. If I was there today though, I’d probably still be there now trying to get 50 DU’s.

    The Filthy is always a nasty metcon that pushes you to the limits. The only reason I PR’d this time was my DU’s have greatly improved (partly from wearing my Chuck Taylor’s)…Wish I could make this camping trip but I will be camping in Chattanooga at a 7’s Tournament. Hopefully there will be another Ktown camping trip this fall. =o)

    I am very bummed to be unable to go on the camping trip. Seriously bummed.

    The Filthy Fifty was brutal. So brutal that Will actually vomited in the parking lot. I think that should make the PR board.

    Haha Samantha we discussed that today at the gym! Yes guys there will be another backpacking trip this fall. Hopefully one that everyone can make! And thanks Callie…the flashlight/headlamp was on my list that I made but I forgot to put it on the site!

    I’ve had my camping fill for a while, but if anyone needs gear (ie: tent, sleeping bag, ruck, headlamp, boots, whatever) I’m your go-to. Thanks for the shout out, Sam. Pukie pics anyone?
