Partner competition benefiting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society

Let's help find a cure for the emperor of maladies.

Let’s help find a cure for the emperor of maladies.

We are opening the heat sign-up for our same-sex partner competition benefitting the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society next Friday from 4PM-8:30PM. The website is http://crossfitktown.com/lls and you can now get on there to sign up for a heat. Notice that there are three divisions: Rx, Scaled, and Masters 55+. We are running this just like we did Friday Night Lights – rolling heats beginning at 4PM and the last one kicking off at 8PM.

The workout is this:

Rx –

8 min AMRAP of 30 double unders, 10 power cleans (135/95lbs), 10 pull-ups

Immediately followed by 3 min AMRAP of max thrusters (135/95lbs)

Scaled and Masters 55+ –

8 min AMRAP of 60 single unders, 10 power cleans (95/65lbs), 10 burpees over the bar

Immediately followed by 3 min AMRAP of max thrusters (95/65lbs)

Reps in the 8 min portion are worth 1 point. Reps in the 3 min portion are worth 5 points.

Work can be broken up however the duo wants. In the 8 min AMRAP, partners must move from one station to the next TOGETHER for judging purposes.

We will have prizes for the top teams from Rx, Scaled, and Masters 55+.

Cost is $15 per team. All monies will be collected the night of the event at the door. Cash or check (made out to Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or LLS) are preferable. Every dollar goes to LLS.

We are also asking that if you are competing and capable of counting to 30, please help us by judging at least one heat sometime before or after your workout.

So come on out for a night full of fun competition benefitting a GREAT cause.
