Warm-up: CFWUx3, Frog Stretch (30 seconds), Hip Opener Stretch (30 seconds), Shoulder Mobility

MetCon – Lynne:
5 Rounds for max reps of
Bench Press (Body weight)
(Rest as needed)

Finisher: 90 second L-hang

Casual Friday turned into Casual MetCon day with Lynne, casual in the sense that you aren’t laying in a pool of sweat at the end of the day. We coaches thought this week had been quite taxing so a lighter MetCon was in order. Not to say Lynne doesn’t have her own vices. Several people commented that today would be difficult because they lack a lot of upper body strength or are weak at one of the two exercises. Well, we have to be good at all aspects of fitness, right? Yes. So a MetCon like Lynne is needed at times, especially when they involve your weaknesses.

Over the past few months we have been working toward two goals listed on the board (among others like getting stronger, faster, sexier, smarter, etc.). Wait, that last one we don’t do often except for adding numbers occasionally. We will try to remedy that and give some brain teasers. Anyway… is one of your goals related to a weakness? I think several of you would give a resounding yes. For instance, Jonathan and Blake have an overhead squat goal, something that is very difficult for them. If you don’t have an “improving weakness” goal maybe you should think of one and keep track of it in your notebook. After all, we are always trying to improve our pesky weaknesses.

Going to work on my muscle-up,
<3 Coach Miss J

Brain teaser 1: A man was dropped into a concrete room with no windows, doors, light, etc. After he was dropped in, a concrete ceiling was placed over him.  All he had in the room was a mirror and a chair. How did he escape?

Answer coming on Monday. Post theories to comments.

If all the animals along the equator were capable of flattery, then Thanksgiving and Halloween would fall on the same day.

That brain teaser is my favorite. My dad asked me that when I was 10 and didn’t tell me the answer for like 5 years. I was so angry when I finally heard it ;)

I googled this riddle on Friday and it almost ruined my weekend before it started. So mad.

That’s an easy riddle. The man looks into the mirror and says to himself, I workout at Crossfit Ktown I can get out of this room. He gets on the chair and push presses the concrete ceiling off and box jumps out of the room.

James…you weren’t supposed to tell everyoe the answer! Haha, very creative. I like that answer better than the real one.

That answer is infinitely times better than the real one.

    10/10 James.
