With school days soon upon us, we have lost another great member of CrossFit Ktown. Knoxville will be sad to lose Dani Huff to Memphis, but law school calls. Dani has a special story considering she first hated CrossFit. The idea of lifting heavy weights was not appealing and such short workouts just didn’t make sense. You see, she came from a background of long distance running and was also under the impression that lifting heavy would make her “big.” Yet, after a few months of testing the CrossFit waters, she saw the rewards from this constantly varied, functional movement, high intensity program. Dani then became one of CFK’s most loyal members. She recently said (I’m paraphrasing here) that when she timed her last 400 meter repeats they were the same as when she was at her top running form. That is definitely a testament, considering she was almost strictly doing CrossFit at this point. So here’s to you Dani, and some of your best scores:

1RM Deadlift: 150 lbs (Well over bodyweight)
Helen: 17:10
Tabata Something Else: 292
1RM Press: 75lbs

I’m sure you all have seen her name plastered on the leader board. Dani, we look forward to seeing you over school breaks. CrossFit hard, but study harder!

Thanks for the post guys! It’s very accurate in regards to my crossfit testimony! I’m learning crossfit might suffer (this is the first time I have gotten online for fun…and shouldn’t be) this school year, but I’ll try and keep it up in Memphis so I’m not tooo out of shape when I come home! Thanks to Crossfit Ktown, obviously I love yall and wish I was there to have Jessie coach me as well! Love yall and miss EVERYONE!
