Don’t know if you have heard, but the CrossFit Games Sectionals are two weeks away! CBo and Brandon are already signed up to participate, but we are trying to get more people competing. Even if you don’t think you’ll win look at it this way…when you sign up for a 5k/triathlon/marathon or something else of that nature do you compete to win? In fact, many times you hear people say, “I just want to finish.” That is the same mentality you should have when competing in a CrossFit competition. Of course we want you to do your best, but participate for the fun and experience first and foremost.

So maybe you’re interested but you think you aren’t strong or fit enough for the competition. With CrossFit, you can never be strong or fit enough for workouts to be really easy. They will probably always kick your butt, but who cares? Once again… I say compete for fun, for yourself, and for the amazing accomplishment you will have achieved after it’s over and done with. It will definitely become a talking point for the rest of your life (seriously).

There is still time to sign-up so take advantage of it. And if you refuse to compete, come spectate and cheer other athletes on or sign-up to volunteer. I can’t be positive, but I’d say they still need help in that department. I promise you a good weekend.

Go Sectionals,
<3 Coach Miss J

No pictures of Taylor dominating the bench press on Linda? (all unbroken, for those wondering … no big deal~)

  2. Brandon February 22, 2010 at 6:37 pm

Also, I look ridiculous in that picture.

  3. Taylor February 22, 2010 at 8:28 pm

when i saw this post i immediately noticed that 3 out of the 4 linda participants were posted, yet one was conspicuously absent. the message has been received jessie, the message has been received…

    and my response

  4. Coach CBo February 23, 2010 at 8:41 am

On behalf of the CrossFit Ktown staff, I sincerely apologize Taylor…we decided that posting pictures of you participating in Linda would result in nightmares for weeks to come. We were looking out for the benefit of the group in general.

  5. Coach G February 23, 2010 at 8:52 am

We need to have a Linda day again…this time with treats and such at the end.

  6. Brandon February 23, 2010 at 8:55 am

True, Taylor was quite scary (as usual).

  7. Miss J February 23, 2010 at 9:35 am

Taylor…I tried to put pictures of you doing Linda up…but I looked through all of them and whoever took your pics did terrible. They we all blurry/unfocused/crazy so either you move at blazing speeds, watched the Ring video in the past 7 days, or the person taking your picture disliked you.

  8. Brandon February 23, 2010 at 9:51 am

Combination of the 3, probably. Also, steal some from my facebook page, they turned out alright.

P.S. – Cesar was responsible for the camera during the Caleb/Taylor heat ;)

  9. Miss J February 23, 2010 at 11:26 am

P.S. Brandon…I like that picture of you post Linda. You don’t look ridiculous

  10. Taylor February 23, 2010 at 11:40 am

while i’m touched by your apologies and moved by caleb’s logic, ultimately, i think too great of a blow has been dealt to my self-esteem

  11. Brandon February 23, 2010 at 11:54 am

You hear that Grant – Jessie likes my picture. I guess when you’re this good looking, nothing can look ridiculous eh?

  12. Cesar February 23, 2010 at 1:34 pm

Its not my fault that Taylor had to do everything unbroken and couldn’t get a shot of him. All the pictures I took of Caleb turned out just fine! guess the camera just didn’t like Taylor….it was probably for the best anyway.
