You may have already got a sneak peak of the big addition to Ktown last Friday. And by big I mean 230lbs of man, and by addition I mean Coach Taylor Layman has rejoined the coaching staff at CrossFit Ktown. It’s a good thing, too. The weather service is predicting an unseasonable polar vortex dooms day apocalypse later this week, and so we will need all human BTUs we can get inside of Ktown.
Outside of the meat sweats, having Taylor back is going to be a huge blessing for us all. The most important thing is Taylor Layman is one of the best coaches not only to come through our internship program, but he is also one of the best coaches we have come in contact with during our six years of CrossFit. His passion for the athletes under his tutelage is equaled only by his passion for continuing education. So by day he is coaching you to new fitness heights, and by night he is reading up on the latest in lactate threshold training.
Another attribute Taylor brings with him is his considerable intellect. That coupled with his hard work is going to help Ktown do many current things better and a few more brand new ventures really well.
We look forward to Taylor pouring himself in to the coaching and administrative duties he steps in to. When you inevitably see him at the gym, introduce yourself and make him feel welcome. Just remember, he has been gone for over 2 years and he will have A LOT of old and new names to (re)remember.
