Tabata something whaaaaaaaaaaaaaa???

-The dreaded Tabata interval…but not just one interval, FOUR! The day has finally arrived to show us what you’re made of.
If only Jess had the kettleBALLs to snatch this weight...

Warm-up: Waiter’s walk around building (70/40lbs) and 50 jump ropes

MetCon – Tabata Something Else
4 different Tabata intervals (20 seconds work, 10 seconds rest, 8 rounds)
Air Squats

Score total repetitions

-Personally, I think this MetCon is one of the hardest WODs there is in the CrossFit programming. The more you’re able to accomplish (in repetitions), the harder this workout becomes. I’ve been personally looking forward to doing this workout for some time now, and I’m really happy with how I performed under the circumstances. The only problem I have with this workout is the name, which I think we should change to, “The Sleeper.” My reasoning behind this is that I find it completely appropriate to take a 10-15 minute post workout nap on the floor…which some people did today (including me). However, it was good to get some CrossFit work done in Knoxville.

    The Tabata MetCon was an awesome work out! I knew it was going to be tough when I saw the stick figure on the dry-erase board losing his lunch. “The Sleeper” would definitely be a better name. See you guys tomorrow for the video. Holla!

    Definitely one of the most difficult WODs created. I remember the first time I did a tabata, I thought it sounded easy.

    Make it 4 tabatas in a row, and it’s the hardest thing to get through.

    This was my first time doing Tabata Something Else and it was rough, but I think I could have pushed harder through some sets. I’m just going to blame it on Grant’s music selection. It did help when I wanted to stop, but Matthew yelled at me to keep going. So, thanks Matthew! Btw I hate that picture of me, do I always look that terrible when I workout? I hope for everyone’s sake in the gym that I do not! :-D
