Takin’ it easy…kind of.

Today’s MetCon was pretty pedestrian compared side by side to Monday’s.  But as most of you know, Tuesday is easy MetCon day while we are doing the strength bias.  Thank goodness, because Wednesday’s forecast is nasty.

Warm-up: 15 OHS (PVC), 10 sit-ups, 5 push-ups

Deadlift: 5RM

MetCon – 3 rounds for time:
12 Tuck Jumps
10 Walking Lunges
8 1-arm KB Snatches (50/20lbs)

Our July 4th Saturday morning workout went off like a Black Cat artillery shell.  We called it “The British Are Coming” in honor of one of the forefathers of CrossFit, Paul Revere.  Just kidding.  But seriously.  So we had five teams of two doing 10 rounds of 10 burpees, 10 sit-ups, and a farmers walk out the front door and in the back.  Here’s the catch, while circumnavigating the building they had to announce, “The British are coming!”  It was a grand ole time.  Here are some pictures from the fun, and remember that we always host a FREE Saturday morning workout at 10:00AM.

Coach Cbo lead everyone in a proper warm-up.

"The British are coming!"

"The British are coming!"

I can still hear them yelling...

    I gotta give kudos to Saturday’s workout. Not only was it the hardest Saturday workout (in my opinion), but probably the most fun as well. I just wanna give a shout to the trainers for really putting some thought into the programming and keeping it creative. I also loved the fact that so many new people were there! So good job trainers and for all you new faces, come next Saturday!

    Thanks to Coach’s G and Cbo for the WOD but also for the mentoring on kipping and double-unders. You guys have put together an awesome box out there and I can’t wait to see you all again in September. Maybe some Fight Gone Bad?

    @Erik Behan
    It was a pleasure, Erik. You’re very coachable and a lot of fun to work with. We’ll definitely hit some FGB with you come September. Maybe we’ll hop in it with ya…
