Katie Willcutts ran the whole 5 miles without walking!!! Thanks for sporting the Ktown swag.

Giving thanks.

As CrossFit Ktown continues to grow we want to continue giving thanks for everything you all do for us.  We have been beyond blessed with the character and personality of our members; and the number of great people that continue to join our ranks keeps growing.  Our blossoming is a testament to you, the members.

We are so thankful that you chose us as your strength and conditioning facility.  But we are also thankful that you think of CrossFit Ktown as more than just a gym.  Some of the best parts of Ktown cannot be summed up in weight lifted or pull-ups performed.  Some of the best parts are the human elements – the community that you have helped us build since May 2009.

We want to thank all of you for all of this today.  From our humble beginnings in the Scalf’s home garage to our very first 1,000 sq ft on Papermill.  From the ten to fifteen composition books in the cubbies at Ktown 1.0 to the 80 or so names we write on the board every MWF now.  From the first pull-ups to the first clean and jerks.  All of it we owe to our members.

As we continue to burgeon we will not lose sight of the driving force behind our auspicious growth.  There will be headaches and bumps along the road, but we will always be grounded in the idea that it is you all who matter most.  A hearty thank you to each and every one of our members!

I want to thank Ktown for being a home away from home for me this year…coming to Ktown and seeing all of you is sometimes the only thing that gets me through the work week, and the dedication of our coaches to improving our mobility and form in all movements has made me a better Crossfitter. Thanks Ktown!

I could not agree more, though it is my quads that are in full blown ouchie mode.

Ktown is a different type of gym. More like a family than just a place to workout. Thank you to the coaches who come up with some ‘interesting’ challenges each and every day. I remember those first workouts in the garage. I thought Grant came up with those just to watch us suffer. I truly hope to get back there on a regular basis once my life here slows down. Missin the fun!

I feel so special…I only could do it because of crossfit!

Im thankful because Ktown has made me actually enjoy working out (which I never thought would happen!). There is such a fun community atmosphere and everyone is so friendly and knowledgeable. I have also never felt better or been in better shape. Y’all are the best.. Happy thanksgiving!
