The Best Things in Life are Free

Paul's sweat pool from "9." I have never seen someone slip in their own pool of sweat until today!

Paul's sweat pool from "9." I have never seen someone slip in their own pool of sweat until today!

Warm-Up: Farmer’s Carry (100/70lbs) circa building, 20 Double Unders, Samson Stretch (30 seconds)

Squat: 5 RM

MetCon – “9”: 9 rounds for time

9 Burpees

9 Sit Ups

9 Back Extensions

-It really is true, the best things in life ARE free. Love, friendship, a perfect sunset, a hug just when you need one, 45 unbroken pull-ups…AHEM! I mean, uh, I don’t know how that last one slipped in. But yeah, 45 unbroken pull-ups would be a nice thing. Although some might argue that you have to “pay” for 45 unbroken pull-ups, the endurance to run a marathon, or the strength to get through the Filthy 50 prescribed, there’s no fiscal transfer that I can find! A special Coach CBo shout out to Paul Monroe on his efforts today. His biggest struggles in CrossFit are bodyweight movements. Today he did 81 knee burpees, and I couldn’t have been prouder of him as a friend and a trainer. This being said, the capacity that we, as CrossFitters, are obtaining is arguably one of the most valuable things in life. Our health, happiness, and confidence are all increasing exponentially (not to mention our speed, strength, stamina, coordination, agility, power, respiratory endurance, flexibility, balance, and accuracy) due to our work that we put in at the gym. These things will carry over into the longevity and quality of our life for years and years to come. Post other best free things in life to comments.

It was a great workout today, I’m almost jealous that Blake got to do it for 12 minutes and I had to stop at 10:49 ;)

Haha Travis, I love your comments to Blake. It’s a good-hearted rivalry. And I laughed so hard when I saw the power T sweat formation. Thank you James for providing me with that.

Travis and Blake you will both be jealous, I got to do “9” for 12:58…I do pull for the Vols when they are not playing UF (its better for UF to beat a higher ranked team) Go Vols beat the Bruins!
