It’s time to hype up this weekend! Get excited because we are going to need a lot of just that to psyche up the VOLS to beat LSU. If you don’t know what I’m talking about already then you haven’t read the board!

What: UT vs. LSU party/ social/ Grand Opening Celebration
Where: CrossFit Ktown
When: 11AM- whenever the party stops
Miscellaneous: No Saturday Free Class

We have a host of festivities going on this weekend. First, we need more people to sign-up for the BBQ Cook-off and the Chili Cook-off. We have 3 for each at the moment. Sign-ups are on the gym whiteboard. The easiest thing would be to make your food at home and bring it here, but I hear rumors that we may have a smoker. Secondly, we need people to bring just regular food/Paleo food: casseroles, other meats, desserts, deviled eggs, etc. Sign-ups are on the gym board for that too.

Also, bring your own hamburger or hotdogs for grilling. Yes, we will have a grill. Other foods that can be grilled are welcome too. We don’t hold prejudices.

Lastly, wear your UT athletic attire and tennis shoes because there are going to be lots of field day games! Some of which will be…

The Shoe Kick
Limbo
Tug-of-War (Teams of 4 – Coach Tay Tay counts as 2)
Shoe Pile Race
Water Balloon Toss (Partners)
Spoon Relay (Partners)
Spear the Tiger

Let the Games Begin,
<3 Coach Miss J

Bring it on!

Bring it on!!! I’m gonna dominate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  2. T-Pain September 28, 2010 at 10:43 pm

I think it’s discriminatory that I count as 2 and no one else does. Also, does “spear the tiger” involve cooking domino on a spit over an open fire?

SOOO mad that I can’t make the grand opening/field day. I’ll be in Huntsville rising up on some fools. Take lots of pics for me.

If T-Pain counts as two, by proportionality, does that mean I count as a half? Otherwise, I’m psyched for the weekend…another awaited note, I have an initial review of the new brazilian steakhouse Brazeiro’s. I was wrong, they didn’t open this monday they opened the previous monday (9/20)…not like it matters much though. So for those of you who don’t know this place just opened where the Amerigo’s used to be (right next to PF Changs on kingston pike) and the owner was the head chef at a Fogo de Chao in Texas, so it’s legit. Down to the nuts and bolts…for those of you who ever went to Amerigo’s…the building is pretty nice and for those of you who never went there…the building is pretty nice. Full bar always a plus, more so now that I’m legal! =P, dinner is $30 and the deal is you have a little coaster type thing…one side is red the other green. When you want food you flip the green side up, when you don’t red side up…kinda like a stop light (which should definitely make it’s way into the games at the extravaganza on saturday). Once your “coaster” is green side up you’ll feel like a rock star because within 30sec (we counted) you’ll have guys all around you with huge slabs of meat on skewers ready to be carved off onto your plate. It’s all you can eat and you just flip your “coaster” when you want more or see that one thing you want. The food, as you would expect, was awesome. I highly suggest the house special, I think they called it Picante….? and also the bacon-wrapped steak. Yes this place is quite the meat-lover’s paleo heaven…made solely of red meat. They do have a salad bar as well. So on a scale of 1-10 I give Brazeiro’s a two thumbs up and I do believe I’ve taken a small topic and written entirely too much about it….my B. See you in the gym!

You can never say too much about a good Brazilian steakhouse.

Bummed Out! Erin and I will truly miss this weekends festivities. Especially meeting all the other KTowners such as the “Morning People” or the “I wish I had your job people” aka the 3:30 class. And of course all the amazing 4:30 & 5:30 class. And lets not forget the 6:30 class, aka “Social Hour” aka “The Doug and Jeff Show” We will miss all of you and the good time we know you will have.

T-Pain, chin up my friend and take the 2 person comment in context. You counting as 2 in a Tug-o-match = good thing (be proud of it). Sitting next to you in an airplane = no thank you.
