What is at your CORE?

If we are what we eat, have you ever stopped to question what you are made of? Right now over 45 members of this gym are doing just that through the CORE November Challenge. For those who have no idea what I am talking about, please read on.

Cardiorespiratory Training Origin-Based Foundations Results Education

In a nutshell, the CFKT CORE program is a challenge to elicit a lifestyle change. It is typically 8 weeks of rigorous workouts, nutrition education, and a progressive β€œpaleo” challenge. The bi-product in most cases is weight loss and increased endurance, strength, and mobility. However, the more important take-away tends to be the lifestyle change that comes with knowledge and personal experience relative to food. The goal of this program is to empower people to make an educated lifestyle change and stick to it. The CFKT CORE program is also a great way to introduce new people to a softer side of CrossFit.

Now you may have noticed that November does not have 8 weeks. The November challenge is a condensed version of the full program with more focus on the nutrition aspect of it. Participating members have been paired with nutrition coaches who are educating them and helping them to make good food choices. After 30 days of fueling with quality food, the coaches will determine the top male and female participants, based on pre-determined criteria, to win the challenge.

Now, don’t feel bad if you missed out on this challenge. There will be more. There will also be full CORE sessions in the new year and one-on-one nutrition coaching is always an option. In the meantime, talk to your fellow members and coaches about the challenge. Encourage them, learn from them, be wowed by their gainz. Enjoy the transformation of 45+ people who are putting health at the core of their lives.
