First, give a big “Happy Birthday” cheer to Megan Duignan and ask to see her new iPhone. Secondly, I am reminding everyone that next Friday the 30th we are having our CrossFit Ktown Halloween workout/ party at 6:30pm. Costumes are a definite, but make sure you bring a jacket in case we do some movements outside.  We want everyone to come to this class if possible. Refreshments will follow and friends are welcome. Lastly, your personal goals are going up on the whiteboard this coming week, so figure out your 2!

How do you gauge the difficulty of a MetCon/workout? Is it by how strong that throw-up feeling is, or perhaps by the number of sweat angels you make on the floor? Maybe it’s how long you spend in front of the fan or outside on the cool pavement. There are many ways to measure the nastiness of a MetCon, and I’m sure they differ for everyone. If you aren’t sure of your standard of measurement just do Fight Gone Bad or Tabata Something Else and then let me know.

I know some of you can look back in your notebooks, see your hand writing, and KNOW if it was a hard day. Don’t know what I mean? I mean you can tell exactly how hard the MetCon was by how bad your handwriting was that day. If you still don’t know what I mean then you need an example, and Jonathan has so graciously offered his notebook up for just that.

    I gauge a workout by how long I lay on the floor and fight off Mr. Pukey. I can’t gauge it by sweat because I’m usually soaked by the end of warm ups and after about workout number five I learned to write in my book before the WOD. Its a lot more legible and not soaked with sweat…Last rugby game of the fall season tomorrow. The Possums take on the Silver Bullets from Johnson City at 10am at Possum Park.     Don’t worry Kerr your not the only one whose handwriting goes out the window after the workout.

    Also, I’ve had to wait a while after the WOD before writing in my book because I often will soak the page in sweat… sounds like today will be a doozie.

    FYI – G has advised me to do ‘lots of callous management’ today, so be aware, but don’t beware, fellow CFKers
